Yup! I have been a fan from day one, and the show rarely disappointed. I have a lot of respect for the way Mike Judge handles his comedy: You either laugh or you don't, but he will not spell it out for you. There are almost no cheap gags and filler. The comedy comes from well-developed characters and from letting the air out of pretentious and phony people and trends.
One of the things that impressed me about the show at first was the Joseph/John Redcorn thing. It was just left to the audience to put together and referred to subtly if at all. It wasn't till season three that anyone addressed it head-on. Most shows would have milked that situation for every joke possible.
KotH also reminds me a lot of my all-time favorite TV comedy, The Andy Griffith Show. The jokes are given breathing room to develop at their own pace, coming more naturally from the characters, rather than the set-up/punchline/hold for laughs/repeat rhythm of most sitcoms.
It's not a big deal since it's so readily available in reruns, but I wish Fox would release the rest of the seasons on DVD.
