Spoilers Kilana's Fate

So I'm spending my self-quarantine watching DS9. And there's several episodes I've never seen. Including the Ship.

So I really liked Kilana (I like the Vorta in general) but is it fair to assume that she was probably executed by the Dominon for failing to save that Founder?

In such an event, do you think they'd let her come back as a new clone, or would they throw away that genetic template?
It's a pity I thought she was a fun character.

She is a changeling and poses as Rios......

A new clone would have been nice. But the cloning facilities were destroyed during the war.

I hope she was re-cloned before that happened.

The Dominion probably gave her a very thorough debriefing, learning everything they could about Sisko and all the crew, what they did and how they did it.

And then executed her. They wouldn't ask all the Jem Hadar to commit suicide and then expect less of their Vorta.

Yeah most likely, the only question is whether they would have allowed her to come back as a clone or whether her failure was so great that she was permanently done away with.

I doubt the Dominion threw away Kilana's template. They probably just cloned a new one after Kilana's almost certain execution.

They didn't throw away Weyoun because of #6, did they? Same story here.

I'm curious now, is it canon that the Kilana we saw is Kilana 2 or was that Kilana 1 and you are Kilana 2?

It would be very Vorta to come here and answer my topic as if you didn't know her fate only for you to turn out to be her clone all along....

I think Kilana 2 was mentioned by @Christopher in Places of Exile. Myriad Universes story. I don't know why he decided Kilana to be Nr. 2......

The Dominion probably extracted information about Sisko out of her.

Fairly assessed, her failure wasn't too bad. But the Dominion isn't particularly interested in fairness, and the result (dead of the Founder) must have been horrible to them, so yeah, I think she would suffer the fate of execution after they had extracted every last little scrap of knowledge from her.

I don't think her template would have been so easily disposed of, though. I think that only happens when it turns out clones from the same line are faulty again and again, and giving indication of a genetic flaw.

After the Founder was dead, why didn't Kilana and her Jem Hadar aim for the ship and destroy it? It would have kept Starfleet from salvaging it, learning all about it, and using it against them. Suicide could have waited a few minutes.

Well troops/agents genetically engineered to have no other purpose in life than their fanatic devotion to their creators to the point that they see suicide as an acceptable reaction ot failure might not have been the brightest idea after all.

My interpretation was that they were so devastated at the death of the Founder and the suicide on failure is so programmed into them that they couldn't think of anything else but self-termination.

I haven't seen that episode in years (I'm at episode 19 of season 7 in my re watch right now), so I don't know the exact context but my guesses:

1) In the case of the Kilana episode the Jem'Hadar were on a mission to rescue a Founder, failing that they killed themselves without thinking twice. They killed themselves because of their failure. So unless all the Jem'Hadar in the Alpha (/Beta) Quadrant were on an explicit mission to save the Female Changeling, they would not kill themselves because there was not a mission they had had failed.
2)She was lying so Kira and Odo would save her life? The Dominon is known for its falsehoods.
3) She was lying as a last, petty attempt to inflict pain.
4) The Jem'Hadar had explicit orders to do that.

Highly doubtful they'd throw her clone template away, look at Weyoun i forget which one decided to defect, but his next clone was activated immediately

That's right! I got them mixed up, as i'm sure Odo would have done too Lol
