Kick-Ass: The Movie

It looks awesome. At the Chicago Comic Con last summer, Mark Millar was there and he had a presentation about the upcoming movie. I got to see about 20 minutes of the movie. It is so awesomely over-the-top.

I'm so looking forward to seeing this...I haven't yet read the comics, I'm going to wait until Feb when the hardcover is released. I read the script about a month ago and loved every page of it. I will even tolerate Nic "Mr. Wooden" Cage as Big Daddy...and I can't wait to see the little girl who plays Hit Girl, Hit Girl is my favorite character.

I felt this was worth posting. It was part of the Comic Con footage.

It looks very cool, and apparently was VERY well received at BNAT.

But I'm not sure how this film will be received by the general public. Will they think it is just another "Mystery Men", and skip it as well?

^ Depends on how it is marketed. I can see college students being targeted as they would probably enjoy the movie most.

Just finished 1-7 of this. I'm annoyed at myself now because I was sure there were only 7 issues and I had them all. Now I have to wait. Goddamn, the final issues is only going to come out a few months before the actual movie! Great book though. I don't know if I buy Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy though. The test shooting scene played much better in the comic books.

Iron Man 2? What? I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I was too busy salivating over the new clip from Kick-Ass.

The more I see of Hit Girl the more I want to see this movie. Gods this movie is going to...wait for it...KICK ASS!

I love Mark Millar's story at Chicago where he talked about how excited he was when he was watching the various Hit-Girl takes when they were filming, forgetting that she was ten for the moment. When he did remember it a moment later, he turned to the actress's parents (who were nearby) and started to apologize.
