Khan and the Eugenics War

So. We have ENT, TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, PIC. Then the Temporal Wars happen and we have Discovery and Strange New Worlds, which has a 100% confirmed moving of the Eugenics Wars from the 1990's to the 2020's.

Could even be 2030's, 2040's, or later.
Khan is still a little kid in 2020's Toronto. Gonna probably be a little while before the wars start.

It's such a mess though. "Unification III" follows up on TNG, PIC S2 cites "Project Khan" as being in the future of 2024. Khan is a kid in 202X in this episode of SNW.

I like that they used the Temporal Wars as the reasoning. Almost like they were reading my posts.

I've always said, you can write off every single mistake or canon change due to time travellers. Off screen, an Alien in the Delta quadrant accidentally goes back in time and kills the alien equivalent of a butterfly.

It's possible that Khan's altered biology makes him grow to be an adult much quicker and slows down his aging in his later years.
So we still only have guesses as far as actual dates are concerned.

And even if not, 30 years later is not all that much of a time difference when we're dealing with centuries having past when he is found in space.

In a series involving time travel in some measure you're going to have that get out of jail free card. Of course they'll use it. It is the only way to stop the complaints, or at least slow them down.

Yup.

Welcome to fearing the fans.

Which is why this show isn’t called a reboot. They saw what happened when they tried it in 2009. The fan screeching just isn’t worth the headache. Just say it’s in the “prime universe” while executing it like a reboot. Loving this show because of that.
