I suggested a possibility that I already knew wouldn't have occurred to most people because of their holy canon. So you made an unfunny joke that @Nerys Myk didn’t get?

I think ideally, all of ST should be looked at that way. Rick Berman didn't get the memo, I'm not sure Kurtzman saw it either (I don't even know and probably shouldn't care anymore where Kurtzman is in general).I've seen suggestions/speculations online that Meyer & Bennet's Trek aesthetic was meant to have "always looked that way" within its own continuity. It certainly stretches credibility to imagine TOS and the movies as literally being the same universe, just considering the visual differences. The movies are more like a loose "broad strokes" adaptation.
That is an absolutely great thought! I'm going with that one. I mean he had to smell a little ripe after all that time...Do we know how long it took for Reliant to get to Regula? If there was time for sleep and a shower, I'm sure Khan used the captain's quarters and found a fresh jacket from there.
As I said, it was Terrell’s extra jacket in his closet.
Oh for crap's sake. I gave a harmless answer to what you pointed out was a harmless question. That's what happened. What does Kurtzman have to do with a discussion about Khan's Starfleet jacket in TWOK? Really, now you're just coming across like that guy who tries to interject politics in a discussion that has nothing to do with politics. Don't be that guy.
I think this is true. I think this was true of Gene's vision for TMP as well. Heck, if not for budgets we probably never would have seen the MMs on TNG.I've seen suggestions/speculations online that Meyer & Bennet's Trek aesthetic was meant to have "always looked that way" within its own continuity. Anybody at all, you included, would appear slightly indignant at being made to look foolish because someone ignored the whole meaning of his post (or just didn't read it). Or at suddenly and inexplicably having every post picked apart by someone positively predetermined to find something, anything, wrong with whatever he has to say for himself.
Back at YOU, sir. Don't be that guy.
Stands and bows presumptuously.
I never made nor attempted a joke, and my comment was not stupid. And anybody on here can go back over this thread to see for themselves, honestly, which of us is behaving trollishly. It most definitely isn't me.That's a very long-winded way to defend making a stupid joke and then complaining that nobody got it.

ah! This makes sense. We do know, sort of. Khan captures Terrell and Chekov; action cuts to Kirk's departure for a while; and then we're at the Regula lab and Chekov tells Carol Marcus "Ve're en rroute to you and should be therre in thrree days
That's not our decision to make. As far as I'm concerned, I've made my points and am moving on.
How would Marla have a jacket first used over a decade after she went into exile?
