KFC gift cards

I have no problem with gift cards...my rationale is that it allows the person to get what they want. I personally like them. As this year was the first year that I actually bought gifts for a large number of people (as I have a job to finance that now), most of them got actual material items...because I either knew what to get them, or I knew they;d like what they were getting. For 3 people, I am getting gift cards. They are all to Tim Hortons, a coffee chain in the area. Two are in high school, and the other is in college...I figure I can't go wrong. the older one is just impossible to shop for, so I figure a gift card will allow him to treat himself to a few drinks at a place I know he goes frequently. and I really don't know the other two well enough to get them a present that fits them perfectly...so they're both getting gift cards to Tim's as well.

If the person goes to the establishment often enough, I see no reason not to get them a card for that place. they obviously like it...

This year, I'm hoping I get more cash than gift cards, because most of my shopping is done at online stores. however, I know I'm getting at least one card for Walmart...I'll find some way to spend it.

i am assuming when you are talking about 'biscuits' at KFC you are referring to something similar at what Australians would call scones and not to cookies which Australians call biscuits?

He means these tasty little morsels.

The “scones” you can get in American markets are usually the sweet kind.

Some people have so little money that they appreciate gifts that help w/ everyday expenses.

If a person is desperately poor, buying them fast food vouchers still doesn't seem to me to be a terribly good gift. Making up a hamper for that person might be better use of the money. I would imagine that would be a more personal, more thoughtful and kinder feeling gift.

Well, the hamper of food items would certainly be more my style, but you have to know the intended recipient's preferences. For some people, a fast food gift card might be a rare and appreciated opportunity not to have to cook.

I often put fast food gift cards in my husband's stocking. His job requires him to be on the road all day, and there are times he has no other option than to go to some fast food place to eat lunch. The gift cards are very handy for him to have.

That said, i haven't had KFC extra crispy in many years...and now....i...want some!!!!!

^I could understand the grilled chicken being a limited area thing...but you don't have biscuits either? They're one of the most important parts of a KFC meal. Otherwise it's just...chicken...

I actually recently tried their mac and cheese...it was pretty good. however, for a similar price, I think the Mac and cheese that Tim horton's just put out is quite a bit better.

What do you do with these 'biscuits'? Do they come with some sort of dipping sauce?

Those of you who have KFCs that make good food, lucky you! Our two KFC chains are subpar on every level, and don't offer half of what was mentioned above. They do have chicken and biscuits, and a few other items, but the quality is fair to middling at best. I prefer our local Lee's Famous Recipe, which has juicy, succulent chicken and warm, soft, buttery biscuits.

That said, if I got a KFC gift card, I would definitely use it, and I'd appreciate it.

I probably wouldn't mind receiving a Subway card as a gift. Subway is the only fast food place I go to.

I got a $10 Subway gift card last month. The steak and cheese Phillie melt thing is really good.

The government should stop telling Americans what to eat and stop the stupid law suits.

If you don't knw eating fast food everyday is bad for you then you deserve to die. Problems solved.

In this case, at least, it is health experts in Queensland that are trying to tell people want to eat.

I second what O Holy Night said. They have butter on them, and that's all they need. No dipping..no using them to make a chicken sandwich...they're like dinner rolls. Only better, because they are flaky, thick, and buttery.

I tend to give people vouchers that go by the name of "cash", they come in a range of values and are accepted in all good retailers.

They are good with honey as well.
