Kevin Riley Will Be Bi in Star Trek XI!

Riley won't appear, but as an homage to the "Kevin Riley spirit," the end of the movie will come before the beginning. Abrams likes to do that kind of thing, anyway.

Does it make me an inadequate Trekkie if I don't know who Kevin Riley is?

He isn't the black dude with the comp... no, that was Daystrom. Riley... well, he had brown hair at least... I think.

Scottish?

Riley is too minor a Trek character to warrant inclusion, even if they made him a hermaphrodite.

Cheers

Riley, minor? Hey, he was in two whole episodes, man, that's the same number as Mudd! (Well... not counting the cartoons...)

God, I hope they won't include Mudd! :p

Well, We know he likes women to wear their hair "loosely about the shoulders" and to not wear too much make-up...so I'll say he is at least "bi"....and he likes old Irish drinking songs, if that means anything.

Seriously though, Kevin Riley was one of my favorite bit characters -- he was excellent in 'Conscience of the King'. I always wished they made him one of the "regulars".

If there happens to be a background character in need of a name, I don't think it is asking too much of the writers to name him "Riley".

So, in honor of Kevin Riley, lets all join in...

...One...more...Time!...

I'll take you home again, Kathleen
Across the ocean wild and wide
To where your heart has ever been
Since you were first my bonnie bride...

That's intersex to you.

Actually, the idea of seeing Riley really appeals to me as a fanboy, since he was always one of my favorite secondary characters. I always included him in my fan fics that I wrote. But I don't see them including him in the film. Except for me, I think there are about 12 people who know who he is.
