Is it worth waiting for it, if you want to engage in interstellar travel?

Considering I've had trouble even getting to orbit in the original, it's going to be a hard pass for me.

Oh I totally cannot wait. I played the original KSP a LOT, and the visual upgrade KSP2 seems to have alone will keep me engaged. It helps that I am a total spaceflight history nut. As me anything about Mercury, Gemini, or Apollo and I could likely have an answer in seconds. Shuttle, not so much. Though I've looked quite a bit into Vostok, Voskhod and Soyuz too. The ultimate vacation for me would be aboard the International Space Station <3

As it's being promoted as a sequel and not an upgrade to KSP 1.19, I expect existing owners will have to pay for KSP 2. The forum states the release will be in the Fall/autumn 2021.
