Kelvin Timeline Escape Pod

I needed a Kelvin Timeline Starfleet escape pod for a personal project I'm working on, so I designed this one. It's a hybrid of the Kelvin Pods and Secondary Hull escape pods seen in Beyond.

So I wanted to revisit this thing now that my modeling skills have improved. Here is the current overhall of the design. Do you guys have any suggestions on the main door hatch? I kind of like it, but at the same time, I'm not 100% sure it "fits" with the rest of the design. What do you guys think? Suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Perhaps add some latches that look like they're clamping the door shut?
