More Trek is good for me.. I liked all 3 movies, and if they have a good story to tell, I have no problem with there being more!
... just not with that Enterprise A.. that looks like some abstract art project from a 5 year old.. if they redesign it abit.. then YES!

Of course they would change the Enterprise, she looks different in every movie.

Yes.
I would like to see what the interior sets of Beyond's 1701-A look like in a ST4.

Talks about the ship remind me another aspect I was disappointed about. That ship is supposed to be like..a city. There are so many aspects of their life on that ship that they never show. I wish to see more of the interiors to get a sense of that being more than something the characters use to travel space thus move from one place to another. It's a home. It would surely make me feel a tad more emotional when the ship is destroyed in beyond.

At this point i am not really bothered, can take or leave it, but that is how i am with the franchise at present, i am not really bothering with the new stuff at all and just sticking to all the pre reboot Trek and enjoying that.

Yes. It depends on the story though, especially if the one involving George Kirk isn't happening anymore. No more derivative rehashes, please.

The two unmade stories I know of had villains. One was the Enterprise, a Vulcan ship and unknown aliens (the baddies, and they flew their ships from comfortable sun loungers) all chasing an artefact with the power to restore Vulcan

This feels like a movie that would allow for a story based one exploration, which I would like, and something the Kelvin movies need.

On the other hand...

the other was Romulans activating and using a Doomsday Machine and using it against the Federation.

I like the inclusion of the TOS-era Romulans. I’ve wondered how they’ve reacted to Nero and what happened to Vulcan, since they are still in a state of withdrawal from the Earth-Romulan War as well.

Does Doomsday Machine refers to the TOS episode or an actual doomsday machine?

I didn’t mind those movies but they felt more like action movies with a Star Trek sticker slapped on them; not too dissimilar to the feminist Ghostbusters movie. As movies they were okay but as Star Trek movies they felt lacking.

I still wouldn’t mind another one but my desire is along the lines of a space action movie, not a Star Trek one.

I dislike the ADD approach of the Kelvin Star Trek films. Everything is rushed. Kirk becomes Captain immediately. They redo Wrath of Khan for Into Darkness immediately, despite this being Kirk's first time meeting Khan. Exaggerating Kirk's loverboy/houndog persona was silly. I think there's an over reliance on action as well, and that was especially evident for me in Beyond.

But, I think the cast is pretty strong, if not great. They've already invested so much into building up this crew as the new TOS crew. And the world of this Star Trek looks and feels very believable, and that's a credit to the special effect people and the art teams involved. Maybe scale down the budge to do something more creative, I don't know, but I don't think they should throw in the towel for another reboot or something else.

Chris Pine as Kirk is pretty good. The new Spock...so-so, but he has screen presence. The rest of the cast is great and are distinctive. The ship looks great! And I really hope they add Jaylah to the crew. Wasn't there supposed to be a time-travel story with Kirk's dad, played by Thor? I'd see that...why didn't that go through?

The one about the Enterprise, Vulcans and other aliens chasing an artefact. The other one was co-written by Ashley Miller.

I'm not sure that Miller/Doomsday device one even reached the script stage. The production of Beyond wasn't really kept particularly secret and I never heard it mentioned until recently. At most maybe Miller submitted a story treatment around the time they hired Lin, however it sounded so overly fan-wanky I'm not entirely sure he wasn't just fucking with people.

Yesterday's Kelvin
thinking about it id have really wanted to see this (esp as it would've been part adapted from the Orci ST3).. and it would've/should've been out last May 2019 ..ok it would only made 250m ww but at least we'd have had 'Star Trek Future Past?' 'Star Trek Returns?' 'Star Trek Revolutions?' to watch over and over in the lockdown..

neutral/can't decide

Is Abrams directing? (or is there any info on director... I don't follow this stuff normally)

Noah Hawley of Legion fame is behind the next cinematic Star Trek movie, although he's being very vague about the setting and cast.

There's also supposedly a Discovery TV movie in the works to follow season 3.
