I can't remember the details because I loathe that episode with the kind of deep and empassioned hatred usually reserved for serial murderers, but didn't basically everyone except Trip do something stupid and/or insubordinate as a result of the magical pheromones? Kelby is kind of the butt-monkey, granted, but it would be a bit unfair to single him out.
The Orion girls were influencing Kelby on purpose; he wasn't responsible for his actions.
