Okay, I recognize the TIE fighter pylons, and the highlighter pens... I think I MIGHT see some Viper parts in there, but I'm not sure. Otherwise, I'm stumped on your parts list, though! Care to share?

I think this design is in keeping with Trek's long history of being as resourceful as possible with found parts and stuff lying around. That said, it's absolutely brilliant. It's everything I would want and expect a 22nd century (or 21st) Klingon warship to be: bulky, modular, bulbous, monocular, loaded. And clearly evocative of Soviet designs such as Salyut, just as Matt Jefferies' original paint scheme intended.

I'm not sure I agree with the intended scale of the ship compared with the later D7. I'd expect this to be about 2/3 the size of Defiant from DS9 -- it doesn't suggest "cruiser" to me. And frankly, it shouldn't; it's a damn powerful battle-axe, a PT boat with an oversized cannon from hell. A squadron of three of these things would be enough to punch a hole in an armada. They're not "warbirds" at all, unless your idea of a "bird" more resembles Jackie Gleason. Instead, it's more of a cantankerous hornet with an attitude. I wouldn't expect it to travel alone, but in clusters.

Brilliant and very clever craftsmanship. I'd put one of these on my desk.

I agree with DFScott. When I first saw her, to me, she says patrol cruiser, or even a corvette. I thought that front window was maybe for the command deck, maybe two decks tall (though I admit, maybe a huge window open to space isn't the best idea...), as opposed to the torpedo tube, and that maybe that gun-looking thing on the starboard side was the torpedo tube (or perhaps she didn't carry torpedoes).

On the other hand, it might be too late, given that the details have already been applied, and it might be too late to interpret them in another fashion.

The gub-looking thing on the side is meant to be a weapon, I just haven't figured out what yet. :)

Maybe decoy launch pods?

As for the rest... awesome!!:techman::bolian: I love the "Russian" feeling of it.

Excellent build, Forbin. I especially like the details on the body and the palette you've used somehow gave a vintage-y feel to the battle cruiser. Keep up the good work!:bolian:

Well, we heard of the herQ', which could have given the Klingons their start, even as Alpha Centauri tech was to have helped humanity (that and Slaver tech). It might be nice to have this the very first Klingon warp ship based on herQ, which might be their term for the now extinct Husnock that they would no doubt admired.
