Very cool! The bulkiness and general curviness reminds me of many of Masao's early Starfleet designs, which is perfectly appropriate if these are in the same timeframe - similar solutions to similar requirements.

And just a damn nice model, period :techman:

Excellent kitbash, as always. My only nitpick is that the nacelle fronts look a little too blank — maybe they could use some wrap-around grillework or a clear bubble or something?
 
Yeah, I kept trying to come up with something for that, and I hated everything I tried.

I left off bussards because I figured the big intake grills on the "humps" would be the "matter scoops".

I think if you'd actually painted the black and neon-glowy parts in (mostly) the same color as the rest, it'd work fairly well... :)
