I think that if there were any visual sources for the first or second generation of warp-capable Klingon warships, this would be it. The rocket thrusters suggest to me a considerably primitive technology, compared to that of the K'tinga and B'rel for example.

I was iffy on the rocket nozzles - I wanted to do some odd-shaped impulse vents to fit those half-moon recesses, but those damn nozzles just looked too cool.

This is really really very cool. I think it works perfectly as an early Klingon cruiser (before they went crazy with that jagged triangle stuff). Great color scheme and weathering too.

I'm guessing you know this, but those "crappy highlighter pens" are the same brand used for the New Orleans Class Wolf 359 kitbash in BoBW. They're canon!

Hmm.... not sure they're the exact same model, but chances are I bought them because of that. They've been lying around so long, I can't recall. I was actually using some of them for their intended purpose.
