Kate Mulgrew's Autobiography avail for pre-order

And a cover I see. Looks real to me! This baby will be bought with my gift card I'm anticipating for Xmas.

I hope it'll be an interesting read. I have read many a star's autobiography only to be disappointed when details have admittedly been left out. If I am going to spend my money and time on an autobiography I want to know it all. Here's hoping.

Well she's writing about a huge event in her life that she has only very briefly mentioned public ally. So I think it will be interesting :)

I'm just worried her Janeway mention, if any, will be the redundancy we get at all the cons. Otherwise I'm pretty excited. She's gifted with words and I want her to take us away into her experience :-) I want to learn something. I'm not talking trivial, which is tasty but mean some Oprah ah.ha moment sh**. :-)

Gah could you imagine an audio book? :adore: I guess I can do this imagining Kate's voice along the way :-D

When I first heard she was writing a book, I thought it was going to be a fictional story, not an autobiography. I'm a little apprehensive to read it due to the extremely sad part early on in her life. I don't really want to read about it because it makes me sad just thinking about it.

no kidding! wow...in audio....

Janeway'sgirl. Yes, I admit myself am wondering how I'll deal but my gut tells me I'm not reading for entertainment. Curiosity yes; insight absolutely. People credit her natural leadership but I've seen her more in the shadow of that. She had to step up and lead being in a large family. I prefer to think her mastery is the Shape shifter/story teller.

I love when people I respect write autobiographies.

I fell in love with classic TV as a kid and for a few years had an unhealthy fascniation with Laverne and Shirley (don't even ask why, I have no idea). Anyway, when Penny Marshall's autobiography came out a couple years ago I was ECSTATIC. Like I figured it would be, her book was very funny and tell-it-like-it-is and yes, of course she wrote about her many mistakes and faults, but it made me love her even more. I am a die hard fan though so I knew most of the stories. However having an entire NOVEL LENGTH book to be able to expand upon everything and add new stuff is so cool.

So basically for me, even if Kate reveals some skeletons in her closet, I am sure it will make me love her even more for 1) writing her story in the first place for fans to read and 2) having the courage to tell the truth and discuss some not-so-good times.

I CANNOT WAIT TO READ. Ahhh.

I become unhealthily fascinated with the people who play my most beloved characters. :adore: :adore:

Do you know what sad period in her life I'm referring to?

I was referring to any sadness in general. No I don't. She lost two siblings and adopted her first child to name a few.
