She's about the right age for either of these two I suppose but if they wouldn't cast Rosario Dawson as a Vulcan, Kate should probably not hold her breath.

(A Romulan Commander would suffice. Not the Romulan Commander from 'The Enterprise Incident' but a Romulan Commander in a similar outfit to that aforementioned character....who is not a villain and who isn't a love interest).

I wouldn't be against having her an original alien or original human character (a Starfleet or non-Starfleet Captain) either.

Her manager/agent talks to their casting director.

Producers are supposed to sleep in, not have their gated community rampaged by nerds chanting "Kate is Great!" in a loop for 4 months.

She wrapped up filming on Underworld: Blood Wars a few months ago but I don't know what post-production work they still need her for this year, filming for Underworld 6 is slated to begin sometime in 2018-2019 at the moment, but that could change.

Might be a scheduling conflict there between the production of ST4 and UW6.
