Kai Opaka update in DS9 would've been nice

I am watching "Accession" episode where the "other" Emmisary comes and goes. Opaka makes an appearance and it got me thinking....she is still stuck on that moon trying to bring peace to the two prisoner factions.

It would have been nice if they would have included an episode or two that explored how that all worked out for her. In fact, there could have been several side stories in the Trek Universe that would make great featurrettes or shorts, or full movies even.

Is there a book that covers Opaka on the moon and her life living there?

I agree. They just acted like she was dead but she was still out there. Imagine the Dominion trying to conquer that planet. They'd be in for a surprise when the dead start rising to fight back.

I agree, and update would have been nice. I also would have loved to see what she would have made of Winn is she ever left the moon.

I think an update on Tom Riker could have been good, and also Laas.

Bringing back Opaka for an episode or revisiting her should've been done instead of the mirror Bariel episode. The actress was clearly available.

Having read Rising Son and Unity, I really liked what they did with Opaka.

I agree, Opaka got a wonderful treatment in the continuation Novels, I think it was quite fitting.
