K/S?

Kiss?
Kelvin Subsystems?
K divided by S?
It might be K. It might also be S?

I'm really confused here. What do you mean with 'K/S'? :D

Edit: Oh wait, it might be some super-secret code. Like that Star Trek ARG game! Come on people, let's put our heads together.

I was thinking of starting a thread about this, but now that this is here...

*cracks knuckles*

I slash the original guys. A lot. They're very slashable and very fun to slash.

nuKirk and nuSpock?

...I tried. Seriously, I tried. Yes, there are scenes that can be taken out of context and give us all a chuckle. However, there's something...off.

It's not Uhura. Please. Slash goggles know no current spouses.

It's not even the fact that Spock had Kirk dumped onto the icy part of Delta Vega. Remember the shit he pulled in the original timeline? This is tame.

What is it? I think it's...they've just met, and the timing of the other crap that goes down screws with a lot of chances for them to bond.
You farm-boy bastard, you screwed with my simulation, then you snuck onto the ship to...Mommy? MOMMY? REST OF MY RACE?
So...yeah. IMO, not slashable. Yet.

I thought they were pretty damn slashable myself. For one thing you have the fact that they start off with tensions, disliking each other. Yet.. they end up needing each other. There it is in a buttshell.

::amuses self::

Now that we're talking about Slash, can somebody explain to me the purpose of it? I understand the concept, but all slash stories I read are all so unrealistic and without consequences. Or is that the whole point?

The purpse is a creative outlet for people who want to see Kirk and Spock togather. If you want to see two men involved with each other in sci-fi, especially back in the day, you had to make your own. Like all creative fields, some slash is great, some not so much.
I thought they were very slashy, all that tension, and then Spock Prime acting as a matchmaker for them.
Kirk and Spock made more sense than the on screen love intrest they had imo.

That does clear things up a bit, thank you. :D

I didn't even realize homosexual engagements would be rare to see in the past, to me it's one of the most normal things in the world.
