Justice League Movie Fantasy Cast

marksound

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
(No idea if this is the right place for this, but here we go.)

For a Justice League movie I think it would be cool to make it lean a bit toward a comedy. Not slapstick, but light enough to break the mold of the current dark superhero thing.

I'd like to see a "mature" Justice League in the Silver Age vein. But no Super Friends, and no Nolan-verse stuff. It obviously would never get made, but some Photoshopped pics might be fun.

I'm thinking ...

Bruce Campbell as Superman
Patrick Warburton as Batman
Demi Moore as Wonder Woman
Mark Valley as Aquaman
Richard Burgi as Green Arrow
Coby Bell as Green Lantern

This is just for fun, and casting can go any direction.

Next?

Guy Gardner, (young) Kurt Russel

Blue Beetle, Richard Ruccolo

Booster Gold (young) Sam Jones.

Elongatedman Jessie Ferguson.

Sue Dibney, Ginnifer Goodwin.

Fire, Eva Mendes.

Ice, Allyson Mack

Mr Miracle, Jay Harrington

Big Barda, Julie Strain

Martian Manhunter, Michael Clarke Duncan

G'Nort, Curtis Armstrong.

Batman, Clive Owen.

Black Canary, Rebecca Romijn.

Maxwell Lord, Alec Baldwin.

Casting Kurt Russell seems perfect. I never really cared for the character but thinking of the action roles Russell played I can actually get him now.

... And featuring William Shatner as the President of the United States.

Michael Clark Duncan is dead and he's Kilowog. Henry Cavil as Superman, Matt Bomer or David Boreanez as Bats. Serinda swan as WW(although they'd never cast her) ryan Reynolds as Wally West A skinny Nathan Fillion as Hal motion capture for Martian Manhunter with the guy from JLU voicing it.

Michael's dead? No one tells me shit.

Matt Boomer was Superman a couple weeks ago in the new animated movie.

Is it productive to put Nathen and Ryan on the same sound stage? I hear when they get together that there's this perfect storm of irresponsibility and jocularity where they suddenly have a combined mental age of 3 and a half.

DEAN CAIN as Clark Kent/Superman: Say what you will. I still think he's the best on-screen supes since George Reeves.

CHRISTIAN BALE as Bruce Wayne/Batman:  What? I think he did a great job. He should suit up one more time.

GINA CARANO as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman: Because, Frankly, she's not a good enough actress to pull off "Princess of Themiscyra," we need to bring Diana Prince back. And not the crappy TV pilot Diana Prince. NSA or Homeland Security (the equivalents of Combined intelligence and IADC from the Lynda Carter TV show.)

CHRIS HEMSWORTH as Aquaman: Yes, I want Aquaman, and not just communing with frigging fish.

LIAM HEMSWORTH as The Flash: Cause you need a lanky guy as the Scarlet Speedster and hey, the Hemsworths can be in the same movie, so the ladies will be happy.

MORRIS CHESTNUT as John Stewart/Green Lantern: I never really liked Kyle Rayner, and Ryan Reynolds frigged up Hal Jordan so bad I don't want to see him again

CARL LUMBLY as John Jones (Human form. CGI as J'Onn J'Onzz/Martian Manhunter): Just so Carl can get as much play out of Manhunter as Kevin Conroy gets outta Batman.

Fire, Eva Mendes.

Ice, Allyson Mack

Big Barda, Julie Strain

Maxwell Lord, Alec Baldwin.

Shit...awesome choices...

This will be the next huge superhero flop.

Well, yeah, but people out there seem to think WB can make a JL movie that will rival Avengers.

 People need their hopes.

Don't get me wrong, I love the DCAU, especially JL and JLU, but right now Warners seems to have zero idea about how to pull off a JL movie successfully. I assume it will turn out more Green Lantern than the Avengers.

Ick...just ick...

It may not be as big as The Avengers, but a film anchored by Superman and Batman is hardly doomed to be a failure, whenever it ends up being made.

The way they intend to introduce the rest of the League in one movie, however, surely dooms it to drown in exposition. The irony is that Superman and Batman (the two heroes with contemporary origin films) are the only characters in a possible Justice League film that DON'T need to be introduced/re-introduced to a modern audience. I think a World's Finest movie would have a greater chance of success.

I was watching the US version of Men Behaving Badly the other day... Rob Schneider answers the door to the hawt quirky blond next door neighbour Brenda, and he's crying.

"What's the matter Jamie?"

"It's the new (sob) Batman movie."

"Why, what's happened?"

"They took the dynamic duo, and turned them into two elegant gay men."

"But Jamie, Batman and Robin have always been sort of gay."

"I know, but it's always been subtext (sob), it's always been subtext."

We don't know what they'll end up doing yet. And you can have a team of characters introduced in a film without it drowning in exposition. Any number of films have done that. That's not to say they'd definitely get it right if they take that approach, but it can be done.
