Justice League Doom. (Spoilers)

I found the article.

All Mark twittered that he "Wasn't invited"

The rest was spin from Bleeding Cool to get hits on their site.

but that's part of a long standing brawl between Mark and DC that saw him fired off Superman a day after they gave him the job because of office politicking.

Mark Waid ain't no ones punk.

Phil LeMar's twitter comments are sad, but considering Dwayne McDuffie wrote the bastard, most everything I said about Cyborg being a Token is rendered moot, since if it was in Dwanyes Power, I've read my fair share of Milestone comics, there would only be one token white guy in this movie.

Felt pretty average and by the numbers to me. It was cool hearing most of the old JLU voices again, and the idea of the villains using Batman's own contingency plans against them is a good one... but somehow none of it really came to much.

Despite having a golden opportunity to KILL their rivals right then and there, the villains instead rely either on the same tired, over-elaborate schemes that we've seen a hundred times before (attaching a bomb to the Flash, or drugging WW so she starts attacking innocent people), or psychological attacks that you know will only set the heroes back temporarily (Really, Star Sapphire? You make Hal think he killed an innocent woman, and you think he's NEVER going to want to put on the ring again??)

And of course it all ends with another long and tedious battle, and the heroes putting a stop to another ridiculous plan involving a giant missile (Seriously? Another one??).

It feels like they really had a chance to go for something deeper and more complex here, but instead it's just the same generic kiddie stuff we've seen before.

@davejames...keep in mind that Savage and the rest applied Bruce's secret files in their own way. Not the way Batman would have, thus Bruce would have got the job done, sort to speak :) These were basically adjusted, tweaked versions of the stolen files. They were also slightly different in the comic book version as well. The wikipedia article for the film mentions some of the differences from the comic. I still don't like the fact they swapped Savage for Ra's. Savage has zero personal connection to Bruce. I see they also changed the ending where Batman is voted out of the Justice League at the end of the story. This film very well could have taken place in the "Young Justice" continuity. Also as mentioned as well...they continue to push Cyborg as a member of the League.

I've decided to pass on this one, making Doom the first one of the DTV's I will not have watched. I much prefer the actual comic story line to this, which is much darker.
