... post an opinion that doesn't go along with the views of the mods (or at least some of them) and the thread gets closed. Nice touch.
Why not allow a discussion whether a post is sexist, racist or whatever?
Keep it with Spock who once said (not an exact quote but the gist of it): "I simply understand, I do not appreciate."

Good luck with that.

Heh, I'm usually thick when it comes to threadbombs, but I got this one immediately. Must have been the three cups of tea I've had so far this morning.

*twitch*

I once accidentally got trapped in a toilet cubicle about half an hour before I was due to take part in a performance. I always knew there was something not quite right with that john lock.

Dave Allen absolutely rocked, and you should watch that whole thing, he was a GREAT comedian.

And because I was born in Scotland, I'm in before the loch.

Or I've been in the loch before. One or the other.

Oh, he was a godsend to those of us who survived Catholic education and forced attendance at mass every fracking Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation. Same goes for Father Ted. Good thing my father didn't know Allen was excommunicated, or we would never have been allowed to watch him in our house.

A very funny man, his description of going to school the first time and the nun asking him if he would be a good boy during which he saw a large cross with a guy nailed to it and said yes in terror; I knew this man understood the Catholic experience. There's a fun biography of him on youtube here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nznZL6i9_co
