Just watched Wrath Of Khan for the first time in years

I've already seen the new Star Trek 3 times in theaters, and on my way home picked up the movie trilogy from Wal-Mart.

It's even better than I remember it! I was somewhat worried that after watching Abrams version, this wouldn't seem as good. I am glad to report I was WRONG! WOK is excellent, and I think it and the new film are great compliments of the other. Khan rules.

Now, it's off to Search For Spock. I don't have such lofty expectations for this one though

Anyone else rewatched WOK, or any of the other older movies after watching Trek XI? Am I the only one who has even more appreciation for it now (I didn't think that was possible)?

I actually watched Star Trek III the other day. Still like it and Kirk's reaction to his son getting killed always gets me.

Watching it in cable HD right now.

Two favorite moments:

"If we went by the BOOK like Lt. Saavik hours would seem like days. The situation is grave Admiral, we won't have main power for six DAYS, auxillary power has temporarily failed, restoration might be possible in two DAYS, by the book, Admiral."

Just how thick was Khan anyway?

And could anyone have given less of a shit about that guy David gets killed by charging Terrell?

I hadn't watched any Star Trek since Enterprise ended (well, except some fanfilms) so I'm watching the entire original universe series from start to finish, starting with Enterprise and ending with Nemesis. I'm hoping that by the time I'm finished Trek XI will be out on DVD. :)
