Just Saw Journey to Babel

Off-topic, but in defense of A Night in Sickbay, it was nominated for a Hugo award and had the most viewers of any second season episode.

And no, don't ask me why. I have no idea.

I love Sarek. His character Rocks! He's my favorite recurring guest.

Agreed. Mark Lenard was great. Met him briefly at a convention once (after having stepped on him, but that's another story). Nice guy, and if you think that voice was impressive on screen, you should have heard it in person. Sure James Early Jones has his voice, and all, but Mark Lenard's voice just cut through anything, making himself heard without raising his voice.

Plus, he and Nimoy looked like they could be related as Spock and Sarek.

Plus IIRC, the debut of the patented Kirk Kung Fu Butt Chop (that poor Andorian never stood a chance).

 Yep, this was definitely the one. Although, I thought it was kinda wierd how it just dropped right into the middle of that fight. I was watching it on the DVD, but I still wondered if a syndication cut had been slipped in.
And then Kirk jumped up, ricocheted off the wall, and gave that dude a piece of gluteus maximus. Amazing! No one else, not even James West, could've made that work.
After 40 years, I'm still a huge fan of The Wild Wild West, but even I've got to concede that that's one thing Kirk can pull off that Jim West can't.

You know, I think seeing Jameses Kirk and West in a fight would be a really fascinating experience. And then I suppose they could have a competition to see who could seduce a girl quicker. Heck, throw in James Bond, and you have a real triumvirate.

she really smacked the living stuff out of him with that slap. If that was one of those "fako-angle-for-the-camera slaps... damn good job.

I recently read an interview with Booker Marshall, who played Dr M'Benga. Nimoy told him not to hold back on a slap in one of their "A Private Little War" scenes together - and Marshall accidentally went way harder than he intended. He was a bit surprised he was invited back for "That Which Survives".

'cos it's actually funny and enjoyable AND well-written? so what if it was not the best decision for ENT? there are plenty other crappy eps in that series AND the rest of 'em. IMO, most of us wouldn't know drama if it jumped up and bit us in the ass.

err... off topically speaking, that is. ;)

Heh... that had me imagining no end of weird behind the scenes scenarios.

"Makeup! Nimoy's showing some red... Vulcans have GREEN blood. Touch him up." :vulcan:

May I interrupt to point out that tiny gold-skinned aliens with fezes are totally cool?
