At times I check out different contributers to the site, espically Admirals to see how long it took to get to that level. So far 2001 is the first time someone posted to this site. My question is how old is this site, and who started it...

I think it started around late winter-spring of 1999. I joined the day before Halloween 1999 - largely to continue rehashing DS9 (which ended that spring) and bashing VOY - and this place already had gotten a raucous rep. The first thing I heard about it was "don't go there, you could lose a limb!" I lurked for a while during that summer to make sure it was safe.

Hah hah, good old days...cripes my tenth anniversary is in less than a year, where does the time go?

I've always wanted to write the history of the board, but it's a lot more of a daunting task than one would realize
