I mean, back in the day TOS had an episode about Spock having his brain taken, and now we have a Spock whose actor is known for...

I really like Quinto, I'm a Heroes fan and I really like where the series is going, but more importantly, I think he's a perfect choice to play Spock.

Many, many years later, other actor do same pointy ears man. New actor already known for doing other man who take brains.

I really like Quinto, I'm a Heroes fan and I really like where the series is going, but more importantly, I think he's a perfect choice to play Spock.

I don't think he looks that much like Nimoy, but when in the right makeup, I have NO complaints about him not only playing Spock, but even playing a younger version of Nimoy's Spock.

It did just dawn on me this afternoon about the irony of it all, tho'.

Let's hope HEROES doesn't end up with an episode entitled "Sylar's Ears".

Originally I wanted Adrien Brody to play Spock as he has many similar facial features to Nimoy(and it turned out Quinto as well)and has superb acting chops...plus a penchant for the fantastic and even campy as evidenced by KING KONG. Several other people in and out of my family thought Brody would be good as well.

I find it funny that Bruce Greenwood is playing Pike. Yet another Canadian starship captain! ( Shatner as Kirk, Lorne Greene as Adama, Nathan Fillion as Mal Reynolds, ....um...Hayden Christiansen(sp) as Skywalker)

I agree, Ray Liotta would have been great as Pike. He not only looks the part, he can also act. But I'm very satisfied that we got Greenwood. I love that guy. He has a great screen presence. And from what we keep hearing (especially what Anthony's saying in his latest report over at Trekmovie.com) we won't be disappointed.
