Just For fun-Narada vs....

Silversmok3

Commander
Red Shirt
...The USS Defiant. One small bulldog battleship, excuse me,escort ship vs the big bad Borg-ified Narada.Who would win?Sisko vs Nero?

I'd vote the Defiant by a slim margin-as in needing a tow to spacedock afterward kind of slim.Manouverability could allow the Defiant a fair chance against the Narada's missiles.

If you'll recall, when Narada left the Prime timeline, the Defiant design was 15 years old. Add the Borg tech to already technically superior Romulan weaponry and you have a steep match for even two Defiants.

A full Federation battle group from its own time could take it down though, with heavy losses.

My money's on the Narada.

So's mine. As much as I love Sisko and like the Defiant, there's no way in hell it would win a fight against the Narada. Even colliding with it doesn't destroy that ship. And I doubt Sisko would do that unless he had absolutely no choice.

My money's on the Defiant. The Narada only has a Macross Missile Massacre as its armament and that is pretty easily circumvented by a mid-23rd century cruiser. The Defiant has extreme maneuverability and more balanced firepower than the Narada.

i dont know about that....the Defiant can dance, and against those missles the Defiant could easily dodge most of them and close within the shield range and do some lethal close-up damage:damage that the Narada would be hard to retaliate against that close.

Are Sisko or Worf in command of the Defiant? Then it wins, by a hair. Borgified or not, tremendous mass or not, it's still a mining ship.

The Defiant was built to defend against the Borg

The Defiant has Quantum Photon Torpedos

I think the Defiant would win

Lets think the Narda is a mining ship, the Defiant is a ship of war. Narda can't cloak, defiant can. (if we are talking about defiant, not defiant A). The Defiant could close range undected before there shields raised in blast them apart. The best ship we have seen from that system was Reman not Romulan, and even then it barly could beat the best in the fleet, so no a mining ship would loose.

The Defiant would put up a good fight, but, in the end, it would lose, that is, assuming the Narada was indeed upgraded with advanced Romulan/Borg tech. Damn you writers for keeping important info like that in comic books!

If you read the COUNTDOWN prequal series you'd know the NARADA, can indeed CLOAK!

Agreed! would an additional 5 MINUTES of backstory REALY hurt the film THAT much?:vulcan:

In any case it would make for an interesting fight. It probably depends on the situation, on how far each captain is willing to go.
