It was and still is a beautifully coloured TV show! None of the spin-offs had that type of look at all! TNG and DS9 were if anything a little dull and fuzzy in comparison!

Along with the colors, the music and sound effects were so distinctive and never matched by any other show since then. It's like the show found artistic ornamentation that was a quantum jump away from the norm, and others could not even try to emulate that without appearing to copy it. They could occasionally pay homage to that work, but could never steal it outright. Even when others tried to fully copy it to continue the series or with fan work, it was never the same, at least not until "Star Trek Continues" recaptured all aspects of the ornamentation convincingly.
Star Trek Continues was an excellent effort only let down by some of the amateur actors on board! The spaceship scenes and planets were fantastic and to be honest this was much better than Discovery or ENT for me!
