Just came back from it. It was alright. There were some good scenes like the beginning and parts of the chase.
I just don’t think it added anything new to the franchise. We saw them “enhancing” dinosaurs in the previous movie and weaponising them was also approached there. You'd think the Alien movies would tell them that isn’t a good idea. :)

That Brachiosaurus scene was far too sad for a movie like this. Reminded me of Godzilla in Godzilla vs Destroyah.

I did like the twist with the girl. It made perfect sense to me for people who work in that profession to do. I don’t know how it caused a rift between him and Hammond though as the kid looked only to be about 12 or so.

I expect some sort of Dino Capture group will be formed for the 6th movie to collect them all back and put them into the sanctuary.

Haven't seen it yet but I'm excited to. I'm not expecting much out of it, just a fun action movie.

I read a review that the review was a pompus jackass. He is one of those that think Jurassic Park is a masterpiece of storytelling. It's a dinosaur movie with a huge budget and so many plot holes just like the sequels.

I'm looking for fun movie, that's it.

I think I fall into this category. JP is one of my favourite movies, this one was too dumb and cartoony for my taste. C. I expected something more. :(

You can love a movie and still realize it's not a masterpiece. I mean it has plot holes and stupid plot points throughout it, just like the sequels. It's one of my favorite movies, but it's still a well done dino b-movie.

1) Dumb story, dumb plot holes. OK, I get it, it's the Jurrasic Park 5, business as usual.

2) The Real Mortal Sin: no new dinos. Another T-Rex, another Raptor, another Stegosaurus, another Diplodocus. Nothing new since 'The Lost World' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1912!!!) Hey, guys and gals, do you know how many new dinos were discovered in the last 100 years? It was a rhetorical question; please, don't pay attention, carry on.

3) And the ending... Well, it was disgusting, to say the least.

'Hey, look, I'm cute little child, I can do whatever I want! So I set all this murderous monsters free. How many cute little girls are gong to die in the next few days? I don't care. I feel sorry for poor T-Rex and other killers from Hell'.

P.S.
Post credit scene... I hate them.

I would have saved them by setting them free... but seeing some kind of 'threat' in them doesn't even make sense. That were what? 20+ animals as dangerous as a Bengal Tiger and as easy to capture/kill, they are animals not Aliens, I wouldn't lose one second of sleep over Dinosaurs running wild in northern California... Jurassic World?... yeah, no. I'm the biggest JP apologizers for all of the films... this film was ust dumb.

What? After Jurassic Park 2 they made it a nature preserve just to gas it 15 years later?
I just looked and I’m wrong. The official canon timeline says that the dinosaurs (the assets) on Isla Sorna were moved to Isla Nubla in 2004.
In the novels it was napalmed.

The official website gives an explantion for the sparcity of dinosaur types - some went back into extinction after the events of Jurassic World. They mention two species, one of which I am familiar with. The other not so much. I have read the synopsis and if the number of dinosaurs is actually smaller than they were at the beginning of the movie I do not see how the dinosaurs without outside help can be saved from extinction. It sounds like they were thriving after the events of Jurassic Park 2, then human greed took over and the creatures are being driven back to extinction. I do not get the sense that this topic will be thoroughly explored in the movie, especially if it is mentioned in a faux website for a movie so that people will know the setting, I have come to learn with certain properties that the most salient points for setting are often relegated to off-movie or off-tv sources with the movie or tv being a sequence of action pieces. It's a damning statement about human nature in that we can 'resurrect' life only to drive it back into extinction.
