DreamWorks Animation has set Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, a new animated series that will debut globally on Netflix in 2020. The action adventure series will be set within the same timeline as 2015s feature film franchise reboot Jurassic World, and hails from Universal Pictures and Steven Spielbergs Amblin Entertainment.

The plot centers on a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.

Looks good. Hopefully the kids aren't annoying.

I've heard very good things about many of DreamWorks' other Netflix series (the How to Train Your Dragon interquel, their Voltron remake, that trilogy of series Guillermo del Toro produced). This might be just what the franchise needs. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, this definitely has potential. I was surprised to see that it seems to be going for a more realistic style, most of the CGI stuff has been fairly stylized.

Not much to go on, but the visuals look nice. It resembles the Jurassic World: Evolution game. As long as it's nothing like the recently unearthed JP animated series idea from the late 90's. That was too weird.

Damnit, I just want to see the girl stars of a JP property, eaten, but now they're the actual upfront stars of one, so that means they won't get eaten.

Sad.

Could be good but the premise seems daffy. Why would someone up a adventure camp on a island full of Dinosaurs?

Goldblum did some voice acting for the game, it's entirely possible he could appear in this. Heck, make one of the characters his kid.

Grandkid, probably, at this point. Ian Malcolm didn't wait as long to start as Goldblum did. Maybe Kelly's kid?! Vanessa Lee Chester is still active, so you might also get her to do the voice.

Although, honestly, I can't see either Ian or Kelly sending their kids to this island. Hell, Ian didn't want anybody to go to Isla Sorna.

Well at this time the park has been open successfully for a decade, so it probably doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
It's not set at the park, it's in the area that isn't fenced in. It's like building a camp at a wildlife refuge with wild animals all around you.

Just continuing the theme of the movies that people in charge consistently do stupid things for money against the advice of everyone who knows better. It's a story that's sadly always relevant to the real world.
