Did this a while ago (2002), but there is certainly a contrast of the old and new here and I felt it would be appropriate. I could post a bigger version if anyone wants to see it.

February 13, 2392. The Akira-class U.S.S. Glen Coe (NCC-1692-D) returns to her namesake as she pays her respects during the 700th Anniversary of the Massacre in Glen Coe, Scotland.

This was the original model photograph that I photoshopped - old StarCraft resin kit in the "sacred" 1:1400 scale - unpainted:

Ooh, love the photoshop work on that Akira! I had thought it was a fully-textured 3D model at first.
 
Thanks much! Nope, just resin held together with crazy glue. I put it together many years ago and it still hasn't been painted, but I love the Akira design and I was inspired when I visited Scotland a few years back.
 
It's gorgeous, but I believe the standard contest principle is the image needs to be made this month...
