The theme for the next challenge: Universal Translator Fails (Cultural misunderstandings escalate rapidly when the universal translator is offline or misinterprets crucial nuances)

Any Star Trek era, canon, AU, Original Characters, No word limit, but reasonable length for contest standards ie no novels etc...if possible

An interesting theme. I'm looking forward to the entries. The preliminary deadline is August 31st.
