Welcome to the voting thread for July’s 228th TrekBBS Fan Art Contest! The theme is “Not Good Enough” and participants were tasked with creating art inspired by Trek’s most unpopular episodes.

We have five (!) posters entering the contest this time around for a chance to win the honor of wearing the new Fan Art Contest Winner Badge on their profile. And here are their entries …

@B.J. celebrate’s Trek’s original bad episode “Spock’s Brain” with this wonderful Lego scene.

@Cyfa has created the perfect movie poster for the schlocky romance that is “Precious Cargo”.

Yours truly went back to one of his favorite “So Bad It’s Good” episodes “Move Along Home” to create this animated 1-bit piece.

@Orac skillfully recreated a LCARS screen from “Shades of Gray”, TNG’s cost saving bottle show that’s not even half as bad as most people claim it is.

And last but not least, @Starscape reimagines the classic “And The Children Shall Lead” as a Golden Era horror flick. Shockingly good!

Please vote for your favorite entry! Thank you!

*bump* Just a couple more hours before the polls close. Everyone got their vote in yet? :)

Yes, congratulations, @Michael! Another brilliant idea very well executed :bolian:

Somewhat perversely, I am rather pleased that my Precious Cargo poster didn't get any votes - which I'm choosing to take as evidence of a truly loathed episode and not my primitive and slapdash efforts :rommie:
Of course, the real reason is that it pales in comparison to the awesome entries of everyone else. I think this theme has brought forth my favourite array of art in quite a while. Amazing stuff everyone! :luvlove:

Thank so much guys! I genuinely like all the entries this contest has brought forth. Went with @B.J.’s Lego scene for the voting, but would have been happy with giving my vote to any of the submissions, because I enjoy something in each one of them. @Cyfa, the composition and typography in your poster is top notch, and as someone who really likes “Precious Cargo” (*ducks*) I was a hair away from giving it my vote. :)

By the way, the August challenge is now up here.
