I guess you missed the winking emotionicon that Dream typed next to his post Christopher. I got the impression he was just teasing/joking with you.
I was at NYCC today and attended the Marvel TV panel. Clark Gregg is going to be the lead for SHIELD.

Ha, I love this. The first time I saw Avengers, I was sure he was dead. But upon repeat viewing, and after watching a lot of other random Avengers cartoons the last few weeks, it would not surprise me at all to find that Nick Fury was just lying to get what he wanted out of the team.
Although IMDB doesn't have him listed, I wonder if Iron Man 3 might include a surpirse Coulson cameo, possibly in the end credits scene as a means of setting things up for the show?
Would kinda undermine the only emotional aspect The Avengers film had. Stark became part of the team for good only when Coulson died.

Did you also think Gandalf coming back to life ruined LOTR?![]()

I still think Coulson actually sent his LMD to take on Loki.
Also, the real Coulson is still pissed at Fury for wrecking his vintage Cap trading cards.![]()
