Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Joss is teaming with HBO on a sci-fi Victorian drama called, The Nevers: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/l...nevers-ordered-straight-series-at-hbo-1126951
The Nevers is described as an epic science fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies and a mission that might change the world. Whedon will serve as writer, director, exec producer and showrunner on The Nevers.
This sounds great to me. A return to TV, especially HBO, just seems perfect. Very much looking forward to this.

I've missed Penny Dreadful, so I'm interested in seeing how this plays out, or what the "relentless enemies" may be. It could be something totally different from vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and the like, and may be more like an alien invasion story like War of the Worlds, or a Steampunk X-Women, or something completely different.

Sounds great to me, I like Victorian era stories and Whedon is one of my favorite TV/movie creators. I'm just frustrated because I don't get HBO.
