It seems Marvel took notice: it is rumored that the studio talking with Holloway about starring in an upcoming film. There’s no word on which character he might play, but it is exciting news nonetheless. Marvel Studios is really the place to be if you’re looking to launch a film career (though the pay might not be great). Hit the jump for speculation on roles that might fit the Holloway profile, including Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Dum Dum Dugan.

That last role is likely to go to Neal McDonough now, but that's fine; that one's completely wrong for Holloway.

Hawkeye wouldn't be bad. No to Ant-Man though. Any other ideas for roles you'd like to see him in? I nominate him as Han Solo, in the unlikely event the role is ever recast...

I dont know about you Temis but I dont know how I would feel about him playing someone called "Ant-Man" or "Dum Dum". There's got to be something out there with his name written all over it. I keep asking my wife (who has read all of the books) if there is anyone he could play in the True Blood universe because I would love to see him on that show.

I keep asking my wife (who has read all of the books) if there is anyone he could play in the True Blood universe because I would love to see him on that show.

I don't begrudge him that Big Film Career, but I'd prefer he stay on TV. I'd watch True Blood pronto if he joined the cast. Or he could be cast on Terra Nova as "Commander Frank Taylor, the leader of the settlement, and the heroic first pioneer through the time portal."

While I agree "Ant-Man" is a rather lame name, I think referring to him as just Dr. Henry Pym is better and I can see Holloway playing him were they to deemphasize the "Ant-Man" aspect (Pym had a number of aliases over the years while retaining the same superpower and intelligence). That being said, I think Holloway would be good as Hawkeye, too.

I think he'd be good as Hawkeye. Halloway proved he was a very good actor in showing the different stages of Sawyer, and his natural personality (in interviews) is quite a bit different than "Sawyer".

No need to pigeonhole and typecast him into Sawyer-type roles.
