Spoilers Jonathan Del Arco as Hugh

Hugh could show up in Lower Decks hanging out with Geordi or something.

One thing that suddenly occurred to me: does becoming assimilated stop your aging? For all we know we'll see pre-assimilated Hugh in Strange New Worlds or something.

I always thought - and still do - that Hugh was not assimilated, but was a "native-born" Borg, like the babies in TNG's "Q Who".

Look at how Hugh acts when he's severed from the collective in TNG's "I Borg". He's pretty much a blank slate. If he had been assimilated, he would have reverted to that personality (like the ex-drones in VOY's "Survival Instinct").

Yeah I sort of agree too that Hugh was probably born a Borg like in Q Who. Still that doesn't prevent Strange New Worlds or some other show challenging that assumption.

I hope we never see a borg or a mention of any cybernetic race that's assimilating the galaxy in strange new worlds.

there's no reason to suddenly bring all this crap from the 24th century back to the 23rd century.

Same here. The Borg have long overstayed their welcome.

I think Star trek has done enough stories with the borg. I hope when Picard season 2 stories moving forward it will be different stories that have nothing to do with the borg except for maybe more back story for Seven of nine being explored more there's still some mystery about her and the fenris rangers I found interesting rewatching season one on dvd.
