Join the boycott of "Discovery" blu-rays until we get our beloved DS9 and Voyager Blu-Rays!

Now is time to rise up brothers and sisters of the Trekbbs and finally get CBS to give up what we want. We refuse to by so much as one disk of "Discovery" until we get the special treatment for DS9/Voyager. The thing is we will be fair. They give us what we want and then we give them what they want and then we all buy "Discovery" Blu-Rays even if you don't want them. For me it will be seen as a win-win-win answer to our dreams. Don't worry about the money. If things get tight I am sure T'Bonz will be so inspired by our plight and choose to help cover any expenses we might not have expected.

All boycotting Discovery (and any other Star Trek Blu-ray for that matter) will do is show CBS there is little interest in physical media (because of low sales) A boycott won't get CBS to suddenly start an expensive remastering process that won't get them a return on their investment.

Are you going to extend this to the Picard Series too?

That's what I thought.

Anyway. DS9 and VOY were mastered to SD. DSC is mastered to HD. They've been and are being released in their original formats.

TNG was modified. TNG was given special treatment. As was TOS. Given that TOS and TNG are the main Star Trek series, that makes sense. DS9 and VOY fall under "would be nice" and that's it. Of course, it would be nice, but I know what the pecking order is.

So let me get this right.

In order to prove to CBS that there is demand for Star Trek on Blu-ray we are to avoid buying it.

Would I like DSN in HD, sure but the chances of it are happening are slim to none, but not buying DSC on Blu-ray is unlikely to increase the aforementioned slim to none chance of a DSN remaster in fact it would likely have the opposite impact.

We can do it you just have to have trust that CBS knows what a cash cow ,Trek fans represent. We alone are keeping CBS-All Access up and running. We need to strike now while our power is still strong and before that new "Twilight Zone" show becomes great taking away the importance of Trek an thus, us to them!
