Joe Jackson: Still Classy After All These Years

The Boy Who Cried Worf

Hard to believe his wife and kids didn't appreciate the guy.

Joe Jackson is putting the blame for Michael's death on his wife Katherine, saying she refused to act because she didn't want to invade her son's privacy.

In an interview with News of the World, which you can see here, Joe said he was worried about Michael "looking kinda funny and frail ..." so he asked Katherine to check on Michael to "keep him cheered up." When Michael died, Joe said to Katherine "I said this would have never happened if you had went and been with him."

Joe was intentionally excluded from Michael's will and is fighting for an allowance from the estate. Katherine is reportedly giving Joe money and is going along with his fight for a slice of the estate.

What, you two haven't profited off your son enough already?

Oh, that Joe Jackson...

You and me both... I whole heartedly thought this was a thread about the musician and pianist extrodinaire by the same name.

Same here...

*wanders off to listen to William Shatner's version of "Common People"*

And me. I was deeply confused for the first line because the most personally controversial thing I know about him is that, IIRC, he's one of the few pro-smoking advocates on the planet.

And me. I find the other Joe Jackson far more tolerable.

This Joe Jackson though is definitely a contributing factor into what happened to MJ. If Michael had a better childhood (being a child star, "normal" would be out of the question) then maybe he'd have avoided some of the pitfalls that led to this path and ultimately an untimely death that was the end of a controversially plagued life.
