Jeri Ryan Question

Is Jeri Ryan leaving the TV show Shark? In this weeks episode, her character Jessica Devlin lost her re-election campaign for District Attorney. I hope they find some way to keep her on the show because she is one of the reasons I watch Shark. Got to support all the Trek alum!

Since Jeri was one of the stars of Voyager, this seems like the right place for the question as there are threads about Kate's plays and Beltran's tv appearances, etc. I don't watch Shark, so can't answer the question.

What?! Really? Figgers :( Soon as I start watching a show it seems to either get the axe ("Black Donnellys") or the reason I'm watching the show leaves

I hope it's just because Jeri is getting married in France this year and they've allowed her time out to get that organised ?? That would make more sense than her sudden departure from a show that's doing well I'm thinking ??

Maybe her character...

Losing the election

... is a way to use her more on the show though? Maybe she can do more outside that role on the show so will get more meaty screentime??

^^I'm hoping it's because she got a bigger part in something better.

What's kinda amusing and ironic is Jeri as Seven of Nine was on every magazine cover, talk show, T-shirts, toys, video games, you name it.

Jeri Ryan out of the catsuit, regular actress barely gets a whisper.

Put that catsuit back on, girl!

Catsuits are comfortable. I used to wear leotards as often as I could get away with it, which mainly meant Halloween and toga parties.

Maybe she wants to have a baby and the writers weren't willing to "work it in" to the plot?

I think it'll be the baby option, she has to be well on her way to 40, that clock stops ticking for no one, she's rich already, has a swanky wine bar type thing I understand she works at now and again, perhaps the role on shark just didn't turn out as she hoped.

I thought she and stark had just clicked at last, though her screen time is still woeful.

I wonder just how many folk will turn thei back on this show with Jeri and starks daughter gone, lets face it the rest of the cast Woods aside are not all that interesting.

^ I agree. I enjoyed the scenes with Jeri and Stark's daughter. That show keeps getting rid of a lot of main characters.

Ever since IMDB had Kirsten Dunst listed to guest star on 24 when another actress had been cast for the roleshewas to have played I don't trust them on their future credits. Credits for aired shows are different as they rarely get those wrong.

Rumors of the demise of Jessica's legal career have been greatly exaggerated.
I guess you have the same source I do. ;)

Yes, recent word is Jeri Ryan will be returning next season and her part on the series will increase.

I thought Jeri was awesome in last night's show. Good for her! I hope she gets lots of lines next year!

She will probably end up being a defense attorney and a suitable adversary for Woods..also I don't doubt Woods will be trying to disrobe her now that she isn't his boss anymore.

According to IMDB , she's off the show. It has her listed from 2006-2007.
IMDB has the entire cast of Shark listed 2006-2007. Unless they are replacing the entire cast, those dates are not that significant.

This was already cleared up a few replies above. :)
