Jeopardy: The Greatest of All Time

Anyone planning to watch this tournament between James, Ken, and Brad. It starts tonight and I'm actually looking forward to it, even though I'm probably going to watch the DVR recording. Also, I expect Alex to make some kind of announcement about his future hosting the show. I just have this feeling that this tournament, airing prime time on ABC, will be his swan song and a great way to end his run.

I just started watching night 1 and these are 3 really smart competitors. They just played a perfect round 1. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

That was a ton of fun. I've never seen a group of players sweep a round before so that was amazing. Then the game 2 final jeopardy and I think this is going to be an amazing tournament.

I'm enjoying it quite a lot. Their knowledge has been surprisingly evenly matched. I think Brad would've been right up their with James & Ken, had it not been for a couple daily double missteps. This has the potential of going to any of them

I think Brad is already toast. (The tournament was taped a month and a half ago, so God only knows how it turned out.) The Daily Doubles are going to be key, and Ken has correctly adapted to James' Forrest Bouncing as well as his chaos betting, but the other key is the buzzer game, and Brad simply didn't have it in the first match. James' talent has always been based in his ability to ring in about a millisecond after the window opens--you get penalized if you buzz in too early--and that's the area where Ken has upped his game by a significant degree. I have a feeling it's Ken's tournament to lose.

I was surprised on how bad Brad played. He got most (if not all) of the Daily Doubles and did he have one correct? It's also amazing following Jame's reign on the show how much I learned about the buzzer aspect of the Show. Ken really has adapted to James's game, as you said. I think James will make it a good duel though. Hopefully Brad can take at least one just to extend this tournament to at least 6.

Is that how this is set up? If Ken wins a second night, then he's got the best 2 out of 3? That means it potentially could've been each guy wins one of the 3 nights, & they all tied? I've been trying to figure out the design here

I agree it looked bad for Brad, but apart from that daily double debacle, he was doing almost as well on the board as the others. I actually think James edged out both of them in general, because Ken really only managed to pull out the win by sweating out a BIG daily double pay day in the first go-round. It gave him an early lead he managed to hold on to

It's basically the first to three matches wins. Each night is a match, and the two games have a combined total for said match. So for example, Ken won the match by 200 last night so he's 1 up on the other two. If James wins tonight's match up, it would be tied, and they would have to bring in night four. It's like a bast of 7 series for Baseball, Basketball or Hockey but with each night being a single match.

Ken dropping his dick on the table and being all "FUCK you, James, and fuck your chaos betting" with that wager made a Discord I'm in absolutely explode.

Does Jeopardy and other game shows actually stream new episodes anywhere?

This tournament is on ABC so they might have it on the website but it's one of those authenticate your provider things. Not sure where else it would be.

Does Jeopardy and other game shows actually stream new episodes anywhere?

Jeopardy's weekday show is syndicated, so, no. There are a bunch of episodes on Netflix, but it's a random hodge-podge.

Last night's episode of the GOAT tournament is up on Hulu, now, though, so I presume that pattern will continue.

Ooh... man. I was trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but after tonight, it's pretty clear that Brad Rutter is out of his league

He doesn't have the buzzer game, that's the biggest thing. Brad won a metric fuckton of money during his career on the show because he's basically a walking encyclopedia, but James is a robot from another universe with probably the best buzzer game in history and a wild willingness to do chaos betting (although he was oddly conservative tonight). Ken is playing defensively, which makes a certain amount of sense but he really is going to need to keep going big in order to counter-act James.

I'm still impressed by how good Ken's buzzer game has gotten, though.

I feel bad for Brad. Based on tonight's performance he's not going to win any games. He's failing the Daily Doubles and the other two are just quicker than he is. James rocked it tonight. Once we goes on a run, he's hard to beat but Ken gave him a good challenge.

I really do hope Brad wins one but it's not looking good now.

Also, I haven't seen it, but seeing Ciips of The Crown does have me intrigued. It looks like a modern day version of Downton Abby though, just in look and style.
