Or McCoy. It's amazing he was alive in season 1 of TNG. To still be alive during Picard time would be mind altering.
Oh no, she's still alive and well. In the beginning of 2377, she was given a human lifespan by Q, joined a Maquis ship which also had been transported by The Caretaker to the Delta Quadrant, arrived to the Alpha Quadrant a year later and is currently living on a human colony between Bajor and the Tzenketi Alliance.
I don't want to be rude and I don't want to insult anyone. What would be great is if season 4 of Discovery has Fury Part 2 with an even more powerful and evil Kes that is hellbent on galactic destruction to build a new galaxy to lay her eggs in.
Except she did it back in the mists of ancient time, which was why the guardian of forever had to be moved..because
Kes is the Sphere Data!
which is not the Cube Data, that's the Borg Queen.. who is also
Kes.
ok writers, I have given you that. that's a freebie. get going. write. I know you read here for ideas.
I don't want to be rude and I don't want to insult anyone.
But I'm afraid that I have to state that your suggestion here is downright horrible!
Hasn't it been enough of character destruction as it was?
Now, why can't we have the Kes we had in the series, maybe with a little more edge when it comes to solving problems and be caught up in exciting adventures.
I am afraid you haven't understood Kes' character at all, if that is the conclusion you have come to.
Are you a recent viewer? One of the main points of the first few seasons of Voyager was the character arc of her development. I believe if Lien had not been so rashley sacked, she would have been captain by Season 6. But as it stands yes the point is that she would have inevitable been too powerful for conventional morality. You can see the kind of amazing writing conventions would/will come from having an overly powerful, nay. nearly Q-like Kes emerging by the 32ndt century, either Christlike or a scourge to her enemies. Maybe she could eventually settle down and become a life-partner to Saru.
Let me just say that I've watched the series for many years, at least the first three seasons and I think that Kes was excellent as she was in those seasons.
She was great with limited mental abilities, as she showed up in some episodes. It wasn't necessary to come up with that energy-being mumbo-jumbo.
And another super-being is the last thing we need. We had Q and he was excellent.
But when we are at it, in a thread in another forum about another character, I must admit that I'm sometimes amazed and amused about how some fans are trying to transfer their own opinions, sexuality, behavior or whatever to the Star Trek characters even if there are no evidence at all in episodes or books that the characters should be or become that way.
But while thinking about it, I'm becoming more and more convinced to start doing that myself, which in my case means turning my Star Trek favorite characters into people who resembles me, in this case especially when it comes to my fascination for hard rock and certain sports, like ice hockey for example.
And since I presented one of my favorite characters in another series as an upcoming entertainer in Quark's bar at station Deep Space Nine where he's become famous by singing the classic songs of the legendary musical ensemble Iron Maiden from the 20th and 21st century, I just got the idea of continuing it by adding a favorite character from Voyager to the expanding group of people in the 24th century who have become fans of the music and culture from the late 20th century and early 21st century.
So here she is, another upcoming entertainer at Quark's:
MaidenKes!
