I think Jennifer Anniston looks phenomenal. But that's just me.

Too bad she's a self-centered drama queen. That right there makes her unattractive no matter the physical beauty.

It reminds me of when they did this to Jessica Simpson. She almost did have a Monroe look her during those times. I saw a picture after the story came out, and thought the fashion people were morons.

Let's face it - the fashion industry likes women who make their clothes look good. The physical attributes required to do that don't always correlate with what men like.

From the outside looking in, it seems that she's spent the last five years or so trading off of two things - 1) having been in Friends and thus playing Rachel in every movie she's been in since and 2) female sympathy over her divorce from Brad Pitt.

I looked up this story after you posted it, and apparently another thing that happened was Cathy Horyn attacking Christina Hendricks's body... and they had an intentionally distorted image of Hendricks to go along with it! Of course, the NYT replaced it after they were called out on it and tried to claim that it was an error during processing.

Found it.

Funny, I remember my sister complaining that Courteney Cox was too thin all the way through Friends every week.

Both Cox and Aniston were much, much too thin the be attractive at certain points during Friends' run.

Pretty much. For a while, she was a constant fixture in almost every Entertainment section of online and print media whining about how she can't find a man, can't maintain a relationship, had her man stolen by Angelina Jolie, whine, snivel, whine, snivel...
