Just right to get into the mood for the new season. And it works.![]()
Yeah, but the rear Dalek is leaning in the exact position of a dying yeti from the Rutland Book Of The Dead, so it could go either way...OMG. Clara's not wearing shoes. She's Dead!
(That's a reference to the "Paul is dead" theory, not a spoiler. Or is it? Who knows. Who. *Nose.*)
Yep.For me, other than Ian or Susan, the only "old" companion I would like to see again is Ace.
I doubt RTD would willingly contradict BF, given his affection and admiration for them, especially during the Wilderness Years. But, it would indeed be a great step forward for this character, and if written by RTD, in an interesting way I bet.Her story wasn't tied up properly and, if the plan to have her be a "time lord-in-training", it would be interesting to see what became of her. I suspect there's probably a lot of Big Finish material writers wouldn't want to conflict with, however.
The show wouldn't even really need to delve to that BF history - just an oft reference to it in an off-hand manner during a conversation. But largely, the curio would indeed be on how she survived the Time War - and if she was brought back without Gallifrey, the time lock/pocket universe.Of course, there's always Romana, who is oft-discussed on here. But since she always has the option of regenerating, anyone could play her. Of course her slant would be how/why did she leave E-space, was she president of Gallifrey and if so, how did she survive the Time War?
Well, I mentioned Jo, but I wouldn't actually mind if she didn't come back. There really isn't anyone else left who's either compelling enough to return, who doesn't have story conflict with a return or who's actor is still alive or willing to return.
While was have seen Calra die twice, I doubt that Moffat will kill her off the show.
Methos was born in a time when most people were illiterate, and hardly anyone kept track of their ages. According to Wikipedia, Methos said his memory got a bit "fuzzy" in the years before he "took his first head." But that's still several millennia of memories he's got.Because the Doctor has ADHD? And has walked the universe from one end of it the the other countless times? If Methos (5000+ years old in the Highlander TV series) can remember his time as one of the Four Horsemen in ancient Sumeria, why can't the Doctor remember his first human friend from less than 2000 years previously?
Methos couldn't remember his actual age, but he was still just an earthbound guy. The Doctor's brain and life just works on a totally different level.
Like others have said, it's probably still in his head. He just needs time to sort it out amongst everything else in there.
I can't think of one person who ever said they liked Mel.Now, Mel... she was a great companion under BF, and her fate could be touched upon if wanted by NuWho... but she's not the most popular of companions, is she?
This Doctor does 900 years spent on Trenzalore, which is a long time for anyone to spent on one place. But I doubt he won't, absolutely, remember Ian, Barbara and Susan. Those travels should be his most fondly remembered!Methos was born in a time when most people were illiterate, and hardly anyone kept track of their ages. Big Finish really did make the character work, though. Just listen to Fires of Vulcan or The Juggernauts.I can't think of one person who ever said they liked Mel.

First look at Jenna as Queen Victoria
