While misinformed Trekkies start conspiracy theories about Discovery, the actors are having the time of their lives.

“Trekkie fans are desperate for any kind of homeopathic hint of what’s going on. I can tell you that it’s called ‘Star Trek Discovery,’ I can tell you I’m in it and I have started shooting. It is absurdly cool, I feel like a five-year-old,” the actor mercifully reveals. “Anything else I tell you would just ruin it for you.”

I'm so glad they are having a good time doing the show.

But taking a step back I'm sure a lot of fans will realize that it's actually a great time to be a Star Trek fan as well. The thrill of anticipation for a new Star Trek show is something unique in every fan's life. Something that doesn't come often. Yeah, of course there will be those among us who will be disappointed by the show. But equally there will be those who will consider it their favorite Trek.

I like enthusiasm from actors and aside from the cast of the JJ movies, I've never seen a Trek ensemble so enthusiastic for their own show.

CBS knows full well they can tease Trekkies with literally any information and we'll go straitjacket insane trying to piece together theories from it, which will keep us glued to our phones streaming it when it comes out. Because we're all that desperate.

And it'll make them mad dosh, which means at least another season.

The only things I want to know is the month it'll be released in. Anything else is just gravy.

It's easy to be carefree with no scripts, no sets, no release date, nothing to do...

But anyway, enough about Alec Peters.

Ah-haha, ha! Haha! HA!

I just rewatched Event Horizon the other night. I'm excited to see Jason Isaacs in Star Trek.

A new news article has been published at TrekToday:

Star Trek: Discovery Supervising Producer Ted Sullivan reassured fans this weekend that the show would not be a reboot or reimagining of...

It's definitely a reimagining. A reimagining might have the same events or events that have a different path, or as we have seen from various interviews, including Bryan Fuller, a visual reimagining.

I don't see any reason to doubt the supervising producer of the show, to be honest...

Except Fuller created the show, and they are following his map, and he has said numerous times that they are taking the opportunity of 2017 era FX and sensibilities to reimagine the show. I posted a link to such a quote just last week.
