January Art Challenge - Upgrades

First off, thanks for the votes! Now that we've cleared out all the decorations, let's get going with this month's challenge.

UPGRADES

Basically, take anything in the Trek universe and show what the next step would be to keep them usable and serviceable. This could be anything from adding a couple of bridge stations (E-D bridge in Generations) to adding another nacelle (E-D in AGT) to a wholesale redesign from the keel up (TMP refit). Don't limit your ideas to just ships, it could be anything from a tricorder to humans themselves (as upgraded - although unwillingly - by the Borg).

Not that I'm planning to do this (I don't think I'll have the time) but would the Borgified USS Einstein from Before Dishonor and/or Greater Than the Sum count?

I suppose, but I don't think we'd ever see Kirk again after that operation!

Well, have something ready for the challenge, but again finding I can't add attachment because I haven't posted enough yet. Can one of the mods accept it in email and post?

Attachments are a perk of premium membership only. Just upload it to somewhere like Photobucket or Imageshack. You can't post in-line images yet, either, but if you post the code, someone else will quote it so that the pics show up.

Oh, and typically, each person starts their own individual thread for their entry.

Tried starting a new thread but the same thing came up about attachments. Anyway, will do that and just put up link to my website.

Yeah, you can't post images either until you have X number of posts and have been a member for Y days. I believe it's because we had a problem with pornbots for awhile.
