Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?
Haven't you read my grand plan for her and 7? This is the future!

Oh good, then you'll enjoy hearing about how Harry is going to gestate Janeway and 7's baby. So they don't have to miss out on any work and because he's not much use for anything else.
It's a very sexy tale.
Actually the first pregnant male Star Trek story I read was a fan fic from before 2003 entitled "What" by Susan DeFluke (she is legendary in Voyager fic circles).
SISKO: I see you've put in a request to reassign Ensign Vilix'pran from cargo inspection.
BASHIR: I think that would be best. Given his condition, I don't want him coming in contact with any hazardous materials.
SISKO: His condition?
BASHIR: Vilix'pran is budding. His buds are undergoing individuation in just over a month.
SISKO: You mean he's pregnant?
BASHIR: Twins.
SISKO: Reassignment granted. I'll have make sure I offer my congratulations to the ensign next time I see him.
BASHIR: O'Brien and I are throwing him a baby shower in a couple of days. I think it would mean a lot to him if you were there.
SISKO: Are you getting him anything?
BASHIR: O'Brien's building him a hatchling pond and I've put an order in with Garak for some new baby clothes.
SISKO: Count me in.
BASHIR: Aye, sir.

There are tons of pregnant male stories out them (none of them sexy) usually involving Paris and Chakotay in one of those utterly OOC (and, as mentioned, totally unsexy) stories where one turns into a simpering submissive.
I'm with you, Teacake, on the "don't breed with Chakotay" thing. The J/Cers out there are already going flaky over the book; that would be the death knell for rational Trek board postings for weeks.
Because Janeway's and 7's baby would be soooo beautiful and probably grow up and take over the Collective as an auburn haired Borg Empress. After hunting down and eviscerating the Threshold babies to avenge her mother. But as for breed Janeway with whom? My question -- why breed with anyone? Some women are allowed to just have a career, you know.

Equals, and all that. Plus there'd be the dinner conversations -- "remember our days in the Collective?" or "Which Quadrant of the universe do you prefer, or are you more into timeline divergences?" or "What was YOUR favourite alien possession, hun?" ... the possibilities are endless.

In the future can they reverse menopause?
If McCoy can grow a new kidney with a pill, they should be able to breath new life into most any part of the human body that says "Hell no. Bury me please."
Or they could just clone a surrogate? Or farm new parts from a clone. Or just mix up a baby in a test tube with ooze and dna from Janeway and some other person, male or female?
Then Mulcahey didn't consider that Borg Clone his son or brother, so after the Eugenics war there's probably a whole formal thought process for dealing with dopplegangers, that considering the state of the law in the 24th century seems to be life time incarceration...
