James is a fairly common English language name. I've heard worse -- like some olympic skier named Peekaboo Street. At least James is somewhat normal.

But I'd laugh if he was in the navy or something.

Actually, the worst I ever heard was a guy I know who works in a deli. He got in big trouble for calling a customer by her first name -- a big no no, I guess. Her last name was "Hitler". Her poor husband.
