James Doohan, ladies man

I just read a bit of Doohan's autobiography, and apparently there was a time during the TOS era where the cast attended a party. Shatner propositioned Diana Muldaur, who called Shat a "little man" and also said, "If I'm going to f*&^% anybody, it would be Jimmy Doohan."



Of course, it's Doohan telling the story, so who knows.

Doohan apparently had some 'girl' issues with Shatner more than once, which lead to some extremely personal issues between the two. I would have to regard any story from Doohan that puts Shatner in a bad light as decidedly dubious.

Hard to imagine, but, yep, there are plenty of rumours of Doohan doing anything but retiring for a quiet night in with his technical journals after work

I don't know, man, when he was still slim in the 60's, and apparently cruising around L.A. in his black Mustang fastback, I bet ol' Jimmy did okay.

Hah! Since I prefer Doohan to Shatner, I'll take his story as true. Besides, it wouldn't surprise me that Doohan was just the nicer of the two and as a result, was the more desirable. Shatner seems like the type of guy who expected women to fawn for him, while Doohan seemed more down to earth.

This is just my wild speculation, of course, I don't know either men personally.

I met Doohan at a convention. He was very charming even then, and he was getting up there. I got the strong impression that he was *still* a ladies' man.

Heck, he married someone he met at a convention, who was a lot younger than he was.

Diana Muldaur looked good in her youth. I remember seeing her recently in TOS and was sort of shocked on how pretty she really was. To me, she is Rosiland Shays, the old bag doing the elderly lead partner, or as Dr. Pulaski.

If it's anything, Doohan sired children well into his 70's which is quite remarkable. Copulation never goes out of style.
