James Bond's American cars (hypotectical mission in America)

Product placement agreements would probably mean he had to use the Ford!

Seriously though the Ford looks most Bond like anyway.

Honestly, none of the American cars are sophisticated enough for Bond. The good news is that there are plenty of European brands offered here in the U.S. that Bond could realistically drive.

None of the above. A good Bond car is fast, but it's also refined—and American sports\muscle cars really don't have that image at all.

Yeah, most American sport cars just don't have the mystique that a lot of exotic sport cars have. I think the Corvette is the closest, having recently turned into a monster as Top Gear would suggest. On the other hand, it would probably be translated to using a Ford since Ford owns or has owned Aston Martin, so maybe a Ford GT. I think it was sold recently. But as far as a car that looks like a European sports car, I think it would be the Dodge Viper. Maybe also the Shelby Cobra, also known as the AC Cobra. And I'm not talking about the Mustang Cobra.

^ The problem, again, is that while the Viper, Corvette, and GT all scream powerful, none of them are really sophisticated in the way that European sports cars are. That's not to say that they're better or worse or anything, just that they don't really fit the Bond mystique.

Daniel Craig's Bond isn't really all that refined himself, though. He's impulsive, brash, and gets into Jackie Chan-style brawls. An American muscle car would fit him just fine.
