Actually I ment James Bond in general, but we can break it down into the different actors. I like Connery the best...second would be Brosnan.

I've always enjoyed Bond over the years. There's a few stinkers but overall there's a lot of great material including the IMHO fantastic Casino Royale.

I never once bought Damon in Bourne. I always perceive him as a 'kid' (which is why I enjoy him immensely e.g. in Ocean's Eleven) and thus can't really take those movies seriously.

So, Bond for me, easily.

I dont know if you have read any of the books, but he has saved the day from a few terrorists. And in the movies he did root out some bad curruption. In the book Bourne Betrayal Bourne saved the CIA and the President from certain death...I highly recomend the book to anyone interested.

I prefer not to choose as I think both are great, based purely upon the movies. Bond isn't as consistently good but they've done many more movies than Bourne. I have not read any of either character's books yet.

I've only read the Ludlum books and that was maybe 20 years ago. Has he turned into an average action hero?

I voted for Bond. Been a fan since Connery played the character. And I read Fleming's books 30 years ago.
